E-max vs porcelain
E-max is a pressed lithium-disilicate ceramic: thinner, stronger and more translucent than layered feldspathic porcelain, so it needs less enamel removed and looks more like a natural tooth on front teeth. Layered porcelain gives the ceramist more control over surface texture for very demanding cases. For most smiles, E-max.
How many do you need
Usually the eight to ten teeth you show when you smile. Six for a narrow smile. Lower veneers only when the lower teeth show. Anyone quoting 20 veneers for cosmetic reasons on healthy teeth is over-treating.

If the goal is fixing chips, small gaps or edges, composite bonding does it in one day for £80–150 per tooth with no enamel removed. We recommend it first whenever it can give the result; veneers are for colour and shape change across many teeth.
