What it is

Dentures replace several or all teeth in an arch with a removable prosthesis. A full denture rests on the gums; a partial clips to remaining teeth; an implant-retained denture snaps onto two to four implants, which stops it moving when you eat and talk.

Because our lab is on site, try-ins and adjustments happen the same day. Most patients leave with a finished denture in three to five days; implant-retained dentures need the implants placed first and the denture fitted after healing or on a second short visit.

  • Why patients choose it
  • Made in-house, fitted and adjusted in one visit
  • Acrylic, flexible or implant-retained options
  • Lowest-cost way to replace many teeth
  • Upgradeable to implant-retained later

Is it for me?

Is it right for me?

Usually a good fit

  • Several or all teeth missing in one arch
  • Patients who cannot or do not want implants now
  • Existing dentures that are loose or worn
  • Temporary teeth while implants heal

Not ideal, or treated first

  • Anyone who wants fixed teeth: All-on-4 or a bridge
  • Severe bone loss making a denture unstable without implants
  • Strong gag reflex with upper dentures (implant-retained lower profile helps)
Risks

What can go wrong

Every treatment has risks. Here are the honest ones, and what we do about them.

Sore spots

Normal in the first week; adjusted in minutes. We schedule one adjustment before you fly and can do a second by a local dentist with our notes.

Looseness over time

Gums and bone change shape; dentures are relined every two to three years, or upgraded to implant-retained.

Speech and eating

A few days to adapt; reading aloud and starting with soft food speeds it up.

Aftercare

Aftercare and how long it lasts

  • Remove and clean nightly, soak in denture solution
  • Brush gums and any remaining teeth
  • Start with soft food, cut small
  • Reline every 2–3 years; check-up yearly
How long it lasts

Five to ten years for the denture itself, with relines every two to three years as the gums change.

FAQ

Questions patients ask

How much do dentures cost in Turkey?

£[—] per arch for a full acrylic denture and £[—] for partial or implant-retained at Auradentis (indicative £250–600 and £600–1,500), versus £800–2,500 in the UK.

How long does it take to get dentures in Turkey?

Three to five days in Istanbul because the lab is on site; implant-retained dentures need the implants first.

Dentures or All-on-4?

Dentures are removable and cheapest; All-on-4 is fixed and feels like your own teeth but costs more and needs surgery. Implant-retained dentures sit in between.

Can I get dentures the same day as extractions?

Yes, an immediate denture is fitted the day teeth are removed and relined after healing; we plan it when extractions are needed.
