How many trips to Turkey do dental implants need?
Two, three to six months apart, and here is exactly what happens on each, how long you stay, and the one-trip options that exist.

Two trips
Trip 1, 3–5 days. CBCT scan, implant placement under local anaesthetic, a check the next day. A temporary tooth for front teeth. Fly home.
At home, 3–6 months. The bone bonds to the implant. Video check-in.
Trip 2, 3–5 days. Abutment and crown fitted, adjusted, polished.
Why not one trip
Loading a fresh implant with a permanent crown before the bone has bonded is the main cause of implant failure. Clinics promising a permanent tooth in one week on a single implant are taking a risk with your jaw.
The one-trip exceptions
- All-on-4 / All-on-6: you leave the first trip with a fixed temporary bridge and still return for the final bridge. Two trips, but you are never without teeth.
- Immediate loading on a single front tooth: possible in selected cases with excellent bone; the crown is temporary until the second visit.
Can I combine trips with other treatment
Yes. Bonding, whitening or crowns on other teeth are usually done on the second visit, or on the first if they do not touch the implant site.
