One-tooth bonding is about matching: shade, translucency and surface texture are built to disappear next to the untouched teeth.
One-tooth bonding is the quick fix for a single chip or dark tooth; if several teeth have the same problem, a bonding set gives a more even result for little extra time.
Composite bonding builds up a tooth with tooth-coloured resin, layer by layer, sculpted and hardened with light. It fixes chips, closes small gaps, evens out edges and can lighten discoloured teeth without touching healthy enamel.
It is the treatment Auradentis is built around. Our dentists do it every day, and it is the first thing we recommend whenever it will give the result you want. Veneers, crowns and full makeovers are there for the cases where bonding is not enough, not as the default.
- Why patients choose it
- No drilling, no injections in most cases
- Done in one appointment
- Reversible and repairable
- Lowest cost cosmetic option

Is it right for me?

Usually a good fit
- ✓Chipped or worn edges
- ✓Small gaps between front teeth
- ✓Slightly short or uneven teeth
- ✓Discoloured single teeth
Not ideal, or treated first
- –Large shape changes on many teeth (veneers last longer)
- –Heavy grinders without a night guard
- –Heavy smokers or tea/coffee drinkers who want zero staining
What can go wrong
Every treatment has risks. Here are the honest ones, and what we do about them.

Staining
Composite picks up stain from coffee, tea, red wine and smoking faster than porcelain. Polishing at check-ups removes most of it.
Chipping
Composite is softer than porcelain. Biting nails, pens or ice can chip it. Chips are repaired in one short appointment.
Shade change over time
Composite can dull slightly over years; it can be re-polished or resurfaced.
Aftercare and how long it lasts
- Avoid strongly staining drinks for 48 hours
- Do not bite hard objects with bonded edges
- Night guard if you grind
- Polish at 6–12 month check-ups

5–8 years, sometimes longer, and repairable when it does chip or stain.
Questions patients ask
How long does bonding one tooth take?
Twenty to forty minutes, usually without anaesthetic; you can eat normally the same day.
Will a bonded tooth match the others?
Yes. Shade, translucency and surface texture are layered to blend; the dentist checks it under daylight-balanced light and on camera.
Is it worth flying to Turkey to bond one tooth?
Not on its own; most patients add it to a check-up, whitening or implant trip where it costs from £80.
How much does composite bonding cost in Turkey?
£80–150 per tooth at Auradentis (indicative 2026), versus £250–450 in the UK. A full set of six to eight front teeth is around £500–1,100.
Does it hurt?
No. There is no drilling into healthy enamel and usually no injection. You feel the etching gel and the light, nothing more.
Bonding or veneers?
Bonding: cheaper, one day, reversible, 5–8 years. Veneers: longer lasting, more stain resistant, 10–15 years, but enamel is removed. We recommend bonding first when it can achieve the result.
Can I whiten my teeth first?
Yes, and you should if you want a lighter shade: composite does not whiten afterwards. We whiten a few days before bonding.
Can it be removed?
Yes. Composite can be polished off without damaging the tooth, which is the main advantage over veneers.
Is it worth flying to Turkey for composite bonding?
For one or two teeth, probably not once you add flights. For six to ten teeth the saving is roughly £1,500–2,500 against UK prices, and the appointment fits in a two to three day trip. We tell you which case you are in before you book.
How long does the appointment take?
One to three hours depending on the number of teeth. Most patients fly in the day before, are treated the next morning and fly home the day after the check.
Will a UK dentist maintain bonding done in Turkey?
Yes. Composite bonding is a standard procedure everywhere; any dentist can polish or repair it. We send you a treatment record with the materials used.
Send your photos. A dentist replies with a plan and a price.
No obligation, no call unless you want one.
